Shuttle Launch Cements Cadence
Project Management with USA
Portland, OR
(August, 2007)
With the
launch of Space Shuttle Endeavour this month,
Cadence Management Corporation celebrates seven
years as project management training provider to
primary NASA contractor, United Space Alliance
(USA). Since 2000, Cadence has trained over 1,000
employees across USA operations in Florida and
Texas.
“This relationship is about more than teaching
project management. It’s about helping those who
serve our country’s invaluable mission of space
exploration, and in doing so, providing a small
service ourselves,” said Cadence President, John
Patton. Patton represented Cadence as a VIP observer
in the viewing stands for the SS Endeavour launch at
the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, USA.
This mission marks more than simply the 119th
Shuttle launch. Over two decades after her selection
as Christa McAuliffe’s backup in the Teacher in
Space program, Barbara Morgan donned her uniform as
one of five mission specialists on the flight.
“It was quite an honor to be a part of such a
historic event,” said Patton. “We’re proud to be
able to lend our expertise to one of the most
complex and technically challenging projects in the
world.”
