Printing a Project Plan

To print a complete project plan, select print from the file menu. This will open the Print dialog.  The first tab - Project Plan Print - allows you to print each component of your plan on standard format printers. Just check which components to print on the left and, for the graphical pieces, orientation fit-to-page settings. Remember, for large WBS, Matrix, and Schedule documents, selecting to Fit to Single Page will make them very hard to see on an 8.5 x 11 page.

Printing Graphical Components

If you need to print only your WBS, Matrix, or schedule, use the Graphical Component Print interface. This is designed to help you print on large format printers, plotters, a bit more efficiently.

You can zoom in or out to fit more or less on each printed page by using the Print Zoom feature. You can control page wrapping on large documents with the Fit To x sheets across by x sheets down.

Once you click Print, ProjectMaster goes to work. Keep in mind, there's a lot of data to crunch, putting together the graphics with the text and formatting cleanly across many, many pages. Given all this, printing your plan could take several minutes.
